Iron & Oak Peated Barrel Reserve is an exceptionally limited Australian mead matured in a single 20-litre Tasmanian oak cask previously used for Launceston Distillery’s peated single malt whisky.

The cask brings together the pure character of Ironbark honey with the influence of Tasmanian oak and peated whisky. Time in barrel has given this traditional mead remarkable smoky depth while allowing the richness and floral character of the honey to shine through.

At 14.5% Alc/Vol, sweet, rich Ironbark honey leads into layers of peat smoke, toasted oak and warm campfire character. Full and lingering, the honey returns beautifully through the smoky finish, creating a slow-sipping mead with remarkable depth.

Crafted by Amrita Park Meadery in the Noosa Hinterland, Queensland, this release came from a single 20-litre cask, making it a genuinely limited expression of Australian barrel-aged mead.

Best enjoyed slowly at cellar temperature or lightly chilled.
